Time rushes on!

Time Rushes by.

What a busy busy time we have had and we are well into the third week of our travels. Every day I think...today I must catch up with my blogging...and it does not happen. I realise that I only disappoint myself...so that is okay.
Today I read on FBook of the passing of a friend and colleague from our Swazi days. Chris
 Crous share abirthday with Warren and the year with me I think. 1947. This is a reality check for me. We are all reaching that stage where it is not SO unusual to hear of a friend's passing. The reality is we need to embrace every moment, get out there and do the things that make us happy.
What makes me happy?
What are the things I have been meaning to do?
Have I been in contact with all the friends I love.
Am I filling my head with happy thoughts?
Lastly, am I showing my family the love they deserve and need?

As I ponder on several of these issues I know I fall short but I will try to improve daily. 
Firstly, I have become really disciplined about doing a little painting every day. Having time and access to the internet I read about various artists, look at different  styles, and play around with water colours  doodling, drawing etc. I keep telling myself that I only have to please myself!

Recapping. Woohoo! It is time to pack our bags and set off to JHb. for a few days before flying to Kuala Lumpur. The year has flown! After our fabulous Christmas Tree launch early December we were invited to spend Christmas with Sarah,Adrien and Oscar in their gorgeous new home in Benmore Park. What a good and sensible decision it was to move close to Oscar’s school and very close to lots of their friends they have made from The French School.  The time saved driving across town is precious. For Oscar having friends who pop in and invite him to join him at the local park is the best. Soccer is the new craze and every moment possible is spent playing and talking soccer.  February and March were spent enjoying being at home in White River and socializing with our wonderful friends. Busy Busy.

We are so fortunate to have arrived in time for Eva Jean's school prizegiving. Eva turns eight in July and has almost come to the end of  Year two at her school. All interested children were invited to audition for the job of EMCEE. The fact that Eva wanted this job thrilled both mother and grandmother, as Elaine often emcees for weddings, openings etc.Grandma Fifioften reads in chirch and is an exteacher saw EvaJean carryiing this interest and talent through the next generation. The Bodens too enjoy public speaking so we were thrilled to see EVA in action.  The theme for the event was The Circus and the children were beautifully and appropriately dressed for the show. We had front row seats...of course....and  waited eagerly for the show to begin.The ENTIRE show was run by the children. Eva never skipped a beat. The teachers ( and others) had trained everyone so well. What fascinated me was the list of al the children in the classes names being read out by Adam, the boy ...
