Recapping.
Woohoo! It is time to pack our bags and set off to JHb. for a few days before flying to Kuala Lumpur. The year has flown! After our fabulous Christmas Tree launch early December we were invited to spend Christmas with Sarah,Adrien and Oscar in their gorgeous new home in Benmore Park. What a good and sensible decision it was to move close to Oscar’s school and very close to lots of their friends they have made from The French School. The time saved driving across town is precious. For Oscar having friends who pop in and invite him to join him at the local park is the best. Soccer is the new craze and every moment possible is spent playing and talking soccer.
February and March were spent enjoying being at home in White River and socializing with our wonderful friends. Rotary projects, 67 Blankets, church and craft groups keep me busy.
Carolyn Steyn challenged 8 different areas in South Africa to produce an event with a theme ‘Local is Blankets is Lekker’. As we had had a Big function for our Christmas tree event, we decided to keep our May 27th event neat and intimate. We thought of keeping it along the lines of a High Tea. However, we all needed to get going with our theme blankets. I, together with my fellow Ambassadors needed to get going with organizing a good programme for the day.

.Our son Christopher who lives in Eumundi, Australia turned fifty in January, booked to come to S.A. for a few weeks with the family and wanted to spend as much time as possible at Sabie Park. Of course Sarah, Adrien and family and Nick, Elaine, Joshua and the little girls came and joined us. Elaine, Nicholas and the girls were coming from Malaysia and Joshua from the Cape. Christophers friends all over S.A. and overseas were also coming to join in the celebrations.
Time flew which always happens when having fun. Once the family left, our 67 event over, it was time to start getting ready to be ON THE ROAD AGAIN.
