Busy Busy.

We are so fortunate to have arrived in time for Eva Jean's school prizegiving. Eva turns eight in July and has almost come to the end of  Year two at her school. All interested children were invited to audition for the job of EMCEE. The fact that Eva wanted this job thrilled both mother and grandmother, as Elaine often emcees for weddings, openings etc.Grandma Fifioften reads in chirch and is an exteacher saw EvaJean carryiing this interest and talent through the next generation. The Bodens too enjoy public speaking so we were thrilled to see EVA in action.

The theme for the event was The Circus and the children were beautifully and appropriately dressed for the show. We had front row seats...of course....and  waited eagerly for the show to begin. The ENTIRE show was run by the children. Eva never skipped a beat. The teachers ( and others) had trained everyone so well. What fascinated me was the list of al the children in the classes names being read out by Adam, the boy emcee and Eva Jean.

The day started with the Hairdresser and Make up artist arriving at 7.00 a.m. what fun!!
Even Granny, jet lagged and all, scored with having her hair done. Eva loved every moment of the preparations.
After the show it is mandatory to celebrate with a luncheon. Kuala Lumpur is a diverse society with many cultures  and  ethnicities which get translated into  the most incredible foods and dishes on offer. Malaysia is a nation of eaters. I will be blogging on this aspect and sharing our various delicious meals we will be enjoying.
